Shipping policy
Things move fast in the studio! We always try to ship orders in a "first-in-first-out" sequence within 1-3 business days of receipt of payment. All orders are shipped with a tracking number. To keep shipping costs low for our customers, we subsidize a portion of all shipping costs.
Lost and Late Packages
Sometimes things don't go as planned. First, we’ll make every effort to coordinate delivery with the carrier within a reasonable time period. Expected shipping times vary by region, but we’ll issue a full refund for items that are well and truly lost.
“Returned to Sender” - Incorrect Address, Incomplete Address, Not Picked Up by Recipient
Mistakes happen sometimes. If a package is returned because the address provided by the customer was incorrect, or is simply not picked up by the customer, a refund will be issued minus the actual cost of shipping. If the order is "returned to sender" damaged for the same above reasons, no refund will be issued. If a package is not returned, no refund will be issued.
Our order confirmation emails come with a reminder to please, please, please double check the address. We've carefully designed each pattern, printed the fabric, created the supporting materials, lovingly packed each kit, and then shipped each item ourselves. If WE make a mistake, we'll 100% do what we can to make it right. But as a small business, it's very hard for us to absorb the full cost of missing orders due to customer error. Sorry :(
Customs and Duties
Please note that customs policies vary by country and can change at any time. At this time, customs fees do not generally apply to orders shipped to the US due to the current trade agreement between Canada and the US. This is an ever evolving situation.
But the UK, Australia, and other countries tend to charge fees. It is usually tax plus a handling charge. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. If you do not pay the customs fees, packages will be automatically “returned to sender”.
A refund will be issued for “Return to sender” shipments, on receipt here at the studio, minus the actual cost of shipping. If the order is returned damaged, or is lost in shipment, no refund will be issued.
